About Roy
Roy's equestrian journey began in Indonesia and has taken him worldwide. His passion for riding led him to Malaysia and Australia, where he became a certified Level 1 General Riding Instructor.
Roy's talent quickly caught attention, and he was appointed Chief Riding Instructor at Arthayasa Stable, one of the best equestrian centres in Southeast Asia. There, he worked alongside Dutch expert Erik Naberink, expanding his skills.
Eager to learn from the best, Roy trained with world-class riders in dressage and show jumping. He rode under experts like Edward Gal, Barnabas Mandi, Hans Horn, Harry Wouters and Stephanie Rexrodt at Hof Kasselmann, blending European techniques into his style.
As a competitor, Roy proudly represented Indonesia in international events. He participated in the FEI World Challenge Dressage Final, FEI World Cup Jumping SEA Leagues, Asian Games, and SEA Games, earning dressage, jumping, and eventing medals.

From 2010 to 2015, Roy was the National Coach of Singapore, focusing on developing young talent. Under his guidance, riders like Janine Khoo succeeded internationally, winning gold at the Southeast Asian Games.
Roy's expertise extends beyond riding. He holds an FEI Level 3 coaching certification in dressage and has served as an FEI official. His experience includes being an international steward at the Asian Games, Olympic Games, and Youth Olympic Games.
He's also been appointed as an FEI Tutor for the Retraining of Ex-Race Horses Project and an Expert for ESEE (Equestrian Sports Educative Event). Both projects are under FEI Solidarity Programmes.

Today, Roy is the Chief Riding Instructor at the Singapore Turf Club Riding Centre. He continues to nurture new talent and works with riders of all levels who share his passion for equestrian sports.
